   using solar energy helps the earth because it does not release carbon dioxide unlike the fossil fuels, so it does not contribute to global warming. it is renewable energy so as time goes on, nothing on earth is used but only the energy of the sun.

   It produces power that would have otherwise been produced by consumption of fossil fuels. Thus it offsets the production of NOx, SO2, CO and heavy metal pollution.

   Solar power can also save a tremendous amount of resources by eliminating the need to run power lines to small devices. Many Telcom towers, Road work signs, Wetherstations, Homes far from the grid; even solar attic fans are powered by solar electricity.

   I believe less pollution and less power lines are a huge benefit to planet earth.
